There are a few basics, about weighing yourself, which one always assumes everyone knows.
For example: Your weight right now is not as important as your monthly average weight or how scale use can affect weight results.
Scale or Device Use
It is important to use the same device or scale to weigh yourself. It is also important to weigh yourself on the same flat hard surface each time. If a scale is not flat or on carpet it will give different results. (The carpet absorbs and displaces the weight)
Doing the actual weigh in
You must weigh yourself at the same time every day (Your body retains different amounts of water and waste at different times of day)
You should be naked when doing your weigh in (Clothes have different weights, trying to accurately guess the weight of different outfit combinations is difficult)
Results: Knowing your true weight
Your daily weight is not as important as your weekly weight and your weekly weight is not as important as your monthly weight. The real number that you should focus on is your month to month weight.
You add up all your weight measurements from the whole month and divide them by the number of days. be careful not to add up 30 numbers and then divide by 31! Or, in February add up 29 numbers and divide by 30! Many people do this by accident. If you have 30 numbers divide by 30 and if you have 31 divide by 31.
So, do you know your real weight?
