Magnesium rich foods are: dark leafy greens, whole grains, fish, dark chocolate, bananas, avocados and beans.

There has been a lot of research about the benefits of a Magnesium rich diet and various clinical studies found that higher intake of Magnesium

If your diet is already high in Magnesium rich foods, you may not see much benefit in increasing your Magnesium intake.

But, if your diet is low in magnesium, you could develop diabetes. You should also see an improvement in the ability of your body to manage blood sugar levels. [1]

Micro nutrient deficiencies could be avoided by small lifestyle and diet changes.  Changes could be as small as having a piece of dark chocolate instead of a toffee or trying a new breakfast!
