How much Carbs should I eat?

First, the basics about Carbs

There are two main types of Carbohydrates (Carbs), simple and ComplexSuperSlim Banner Advert

For the health of your body you have to consume Carbs in your diet.

For weight loss and to lose stored fat on your body, you have to consider the total Calorie weight of all the foods you are eating (Protein included)

Simple Carbs are easily converted into energy in your body and are mostly considered unhealthy (Example: refined sugar)

Complex Carbs take longer to digest or even ferment in your body and are mostly healthy (Example: Fiber)

Some simple carbs however are not bad and all complex carbs are not good, so when in doubt, you can refer to the Glycemic weight for that portion of Carb in question.

Then there are certain Carbs that should be excluded (or severely restricted) from a healthy diet, such as refined sugar (Or food products containing sugar, drinks, breakfast cereals, etc)

Some examples of Carbs that you should be eating are:

Vegetables (Including Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes)
Fruits
Oats
Rice (White & Brown)

Step by Step: How much Carbs should you be eating?

1. Calculate your daily Calorie Requirement
2. Deduct around 10 percent if you want to lose stored fat
3. Calculate the calories of protein and fat that you are eating
4. Subtract number 3 from number 2
