Stand more frequently at work
If you have to sit at work, take frequent breaks to stand and sit on a medicine ball rather than a chair.

Remember, if you sit for 8 hours at work and sleep for 8 hours as well then you are almost stationary for 2 thirds of your day. This is bad for your circulation and all the other factors as highlighted in the studies.
